Reading the Sunday Ads

Mommy was reading the Sunday ads while feeding Nolan his bottle...and Nolan decided to join in! He is such a smart shopper!

Iron Man

Nolan is so strong! Lately, he picks up his toys and turns them over! He also carries objects that are not light around the house...his muscles are very developed!

Nolan LOVES Naps!

Nolan loves to take naps! He is such a good sleeper during the day and at night...he is Mommy's baby for sure! Nolan was swimming on Friday for a long time, and he fell fast asleep on the way home...he didn't even wake up during the transfer into his bed! This is how he fell asleep. He loves to sleep on his tummy, and he is usually at the bottom end of his crib when he wakes up. He also has his little rear up in the air with one leg/thigh occasionally out of the crib. It works for Nolan...he must be comfortable!

Playing Baseball

Nolan loves sports! He now carries his bat around while playing with other toys!
Batter up!

Sox Fans

We are definitely Sox fans! Nolan sported some Sox gear on Saturday in support of his favorite team.

Downtown

Daddy took the day off on Friday, and we went downtown for the day.
Nolan loved his train ride downtown!
We had to wait under a building while it was pouring rain...Nolan loved the rain!
We walked to the west loop and then back toward Navy Pier. Nolan and Daddy took a picture on our walk.
We went to Charlie's Ale House at Navy Pier for a late lunch and to watch the Sox-Cubs game. Nolan fell asleep on our way there.
He woke up to check out the game with Daddy! We realized that Nolan and Daddy were wearing the wrong colors for the cross-town classic. People thought we were Cubs fans...no way!

We had a great day downtown!

Playing With Alexis

Our cousins Christie and Alexis came over for a visit on Thursday. Nolan had lots of fun playing with Alexis. We walked to the park and had lunch together. It was a fun time!

Alexis is about two years older than Nolan...and he is just two pounds lighter than her!
Alexis and Nolan had fun swinging at the park! He loved having another friend to hang out with!
Peek-A-Boo!
Alexis did some rock climbing...
and Nolan did, too!

Nolan's Toys

Nolan loves his sports toy! He especially loves the baseball and bat...maybe we have a future pitcher on our hands??!! And, Nolan has been picking up all of his food with his left hand. A left handed pitcher named Nolan Ryan? You never know!
Nolan also loves Mommy's toothbrush. Actually, he loves when people brush their teeth. He laughs and smiles so much! Mommy was just at the dentist and has a new toothbrush. Nolan loves to play with the old one. He carries it around the house and holds it while he is playing with his other toys. He is starting young with good oral hygiene!

Yummy Biter Biscuits!

Nolan loves every food and is trying new things everyday. He is eating table food and some baby food since we have lots of fruits and veggies left. He loves the Gerber Biter Biscuits as you can see in the picture below. He is very independent with his foods and really enjoys his meals!
Nolan does not like getting his face washed. This is the face he makes when his meal is over and he is getting cleaned up. It is a sad picture, but his two bottom teeth are clearly seen! His third bottom tooth is on its way in!

Playing and Sleeping

Nolan is sitting up totally independently now! He is getting so big! He has some new toys to play with, and he is loving them! He is very into his toys! This is his new giraffe toy that has balls that go around and come out at the bottom...he finds it every time!

He had so much fun playing...that he started to fall asleep during lunch.
Nolan continued to feed himself with his eyes closed...
That is quite a talent!
Finally, he gave up the fight and took a long nap in his bed!

White Sox Cousins

We took pictures of Nolan with his cousins Jack and Henry and made a collage for Pops for Father's Day. Pops is a huge Sox fan, so his three pals sported their best Sox gear. We were so excited to give Pops his present, and he loved it so much! Go Go White Sox!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Belated Father's Day! We started our day with 7:30 Mass and then went to Flapjack's for breakfast. Nolan enjoyed his pancake and then fell asleep at the table. He enjoyed his first breakfast in a restaurant in a big high chair! Daddy had to work at the Sox game, so he met us at Pops and MoMo's in the late afternoon for dinner. Nolan enjoyed swimming and visiting with his Wisconsin relatives before they left to go back home.
Nolan had fun swimming with Uncle Mike and cousin Mike.
Daddy and Nolan had lots of fun in the pool!

Daddy, Nolan and Timmy had fun playing Peek-A-Boo!
Nolan is chilling with his rings which he did not let go of!
The pool is so much fun!

We hope everyone had a nice day!

Friday Night Fun

Our Uncle Mike, Aunt Eileen and cousins Maggie, Mike and Timmy were in town from Wisconsin for a Murphy family wedding. They stayed at Pops and MoMo's house. Some of our relatives came over to visit with the Wisconsin O'Shea family. Nolan loved hanging out with his cousins!
Nolan is swimming freestyle with Mike, Timmy, Pops and Rose.
Nolan had a blast splashing and swimming with Pops...water is so much fun!
MoMo bought a new playpen for the babies. Nolan and Ellen tried it out and loved it!
They shared the toys so nicely together.
So cute! Ellen is five weeks older, and Nolan is at least seven pounds heavier! They are so sweet!
Nolan loved hanging out with Uncle Mike! They have similar hair styles, and they are good buddies!
