Moving Around
Nolan loves to move around. He is thoroughly enjoying his newly discovered freedom! He can get toys and objects on his level without having to be dependent on anyone else. He loves taking his books off of the coffee table.
Reading is fun!
He loves checking out the handles on the furniture.
Crawling is great!
Mommy just cleared the bottom shelf of the sofa table because Nolan discovered the picture frames and other breakables. Those objects will soon be replaced with Nolan's things so that he can be safe while moving around.
Nolan decided to crawl over to the table...
and pull himself up on the table.
The Waterford lamp cord is now unplugged, too. Mommy was afraid Nolan was going to tip the lamp over which would not be good.
He just wanted to sit on the table.
Mommy redirected Nolan away from the table.
Then, he found the gate to go downstairs.
Nolan ended up in the kitchen with one of his favorite teethers.
Nolan is easily distracted and can be redirected to a more positive model. He is happy with most things and quickly becomes interested in new distractions. Mommy and Daddy are in the process of removing all unsafe objects so that Nolan can explore his environment without worrying about breaking and wrecking things. Life for Nolan is great!Mommy took these silhouette pictures of Nolan when the sun was shining through the front window...they turned out really neat!
Our Gated Community
Parish Picnic
We had our parish picnic on Saturday at Lawn Manor Park. It was fun! Nolan saw lots of neighbors and friends. He had fun with Michael Murphy.
He made silly faces for Nolan.
Nolan thought it was so funny!
They are good buddies!
Michael sang "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" for Nolan with some help from his Mom.
Nolan snuggled with MoMo.
He checked out his surroundings...
and was fast asleep for the night.
We put a sheet over the playpen to keep Nolan safe from bugs and critters. Nolan slept in the park for almost three hours before going home to bed for the night. It was a perfect night to sleep outside, and Nolan loved it!
Protecting the Crib...and Nolan
MoMo made a crib protector to save the crib and Nolan. We love it! Thanks, MoMo for being so creative and talented! The wood is safe from teeth marks, and Nolan is safe from eating materials that he should not be eating.
