Mommy's Overnight In Iowa

Mommy's friend Amy had a destination wedding in Florida in October, and she had a reception in Iowa on Saturday to celebrate her marriage. Mommy went with six other friends and had lots of fun! Here is our group picture...Mommy, Suzi, Katie, Mary, Rosa, Amy, Ryan, Margaret and Patti. Congratulations, Amy and Ryan! It was fun celebrating with you! Nolan and Daddy had a fun male bonding weekend. We all missed each other, and it was great to be home!

Family Fun

We went to Pops and MoMo's house on Friday night to visit with the O'Sheas. Nolan had fun playing with his cousins. We managed to get one quick picture of Nolan with Johnny and Ellen. They are all on the move!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mommy and Daddy are most thankful for...Nolan!
Thanksgiving 2007
Thanksgiving 2008
We had a nice Thanksgiving. Grandpa and Uncle Colin came over in the early afternoon for a visit, and then we went to GG's house for dinner with the Pruntys. Nolan loved sitting at the big table with everyone.
He was so thirsty and liked taking sips from MoMo's water bottle.

Nolan sat with Daddy and Mommy for one quick second to get a family picture.
Nolan was not into the pumpkin pie, but he sure loved the sherbet.

Nolan had fun putting puppy in and out of his booster seat.

He was exhausted from his long day!
Nolan showed his very captive audience some new dance moves. Click to view!

He also made some funny noises while eating his sherbet. Enjoy!
We have so much to be thankful for as we begin this holiday season. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Surprise!

We went to Noni's house on Wednesday night for a small surprise gathering for Aunt Courtney's 30th birthday.
Surprise! Henry, Uncle Xavier, Nolan and Mommy

Nolan's Day Downtown

Nolan spent most of his day today downtown. He went to his library class early in the morning with Mommy and then headed downtown for his one year doctor appointment. After his doctor appointment, he went to MoMo's office for lunch and enjoyed hanging out with her co-workers. Nolan really likes the downtown scene!

His stats continue to be very impressive. He is 30 inches (50th percentile), 27 pounds 10 ounces (95th percentile) and his head circumference is 48.7 centimeters (95th percentile). Nolan is a very happy, healthy baby boy! He had two shots and one blood draw, and he was a really good sport despite the pokes and discomfort.

Nolan liked checking out the shelves of binders at MoMo's office.
He could not believe his eyes when he saw cabinets without locks...he was so excited and had the best time opening and closing the doors!
Nolan helped MoMo finish up some important business.
He helped sort the mail.

He ate some of the mail, too.
Thank goodness it wasn't anything important!
Nolan liked the long glass door at the entrance of MoMo's office. He left his tiny prints (and probably some drool) behind!
He had so much fun walking up and down the long, narrow hallway!

Nolan rolled the packages, too.
He was such a good helper. Nolan can sub for MoMo if she ever needs a day off! He worked the mouse and keyboard really well and showed MoMo his Sesame Street website. Now MoMo can watch Cookie Monster and Elmo at work!
Nolan was exhausted from his doctor appointment and long day downtown. He fell asleep on the way home and took a good nap.

Nolan's New View

Mommy and Nolan went to the police station today to get the car seat turned around...Nolan is officially forward facing!
This is the last picture of Nolan as a rear-facing passenger. This is the first picture of Nolan as a forward-facing passenger.
He was a little stuffed with his winter coat, and he has a cold. Aside from those two issues, Nolan likes his new view. He is much closer to Mommy in the car, too! There is so much to see!

New Walking Video

Nolan is walking...sometimes running around all day long! It is now his preferred method of movement! He walks everywhere! He walked from the car to his library class this morning and thought it was so much fun! He loves being independent! This video is a little bit lighter since it was taken during the day.

Post Bathtime

Nolan decided to walk around his bedroom after his bath while Mommy picked out his outfit today. He played with his puzzle stool. He played with the diaper champ. Gross!
He played with his penguin.

He played peek-a-boo while trying to get his towel off.
He gave his penguin hugs and kisses.
He checked out his clothes in his dresser.
Nolan loves his new independence with walking around!

Ice Cream Cone

Nolan liked holding an ice cream cone...yum, yum!

Driving The Car

MoMo let Nolan drive the car...he loved it!

Walking!

Nolan is officially walking! He took his first steps right before Halloween, and he has been taking more and more steps everyday! He is becoming very confident and balanced. He can stand alone without any support for a long time. He is so proud of himself! Mommy and Daddy are proud of him, too! Crawling is much faster for Nolan, but he is choosing to walk more and more. He can even turn corners! He is so excited!

Curious!

Nolan is very curious...
He likes to check the vents on the cabinets. He likes to pick up a corner of the rug and look underneath.
He likes to rest and take it all in.
He likes to open the cabinets. He can reach the pantry doors now. It is such a bummer that there is a lock on the doors!

Bookworm

Nolan LOVES books! He reads lots of books everyday!
