Mommy's Little Helper

Mommy was doing a few odd jobs around the house tonight, and Nolan decided to be a super helper. He was very excited to climb up on the stool and hold the screwdriver. He was fixing a vent in the family room just like Mommy!
Nolan is on his way to being quite the home handyman...Mommy is training him young!

Pumpkin Carving

Nolan was so excited to carve our pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns tonight!
He was very interested in seeing the inside of the pumpkins...

He was such a good helper and matched up the stems/tops like a puzzle.

Nolan took a bath with MoMo and enjoyed the finished products. Don't mind the plunger on the table...Nolan loves to play with it in the upstairs bathroom at Pops and MoMo's house.

Aunt Maura made a "Pat-O-Lantern" for Uncle Pat, and Mommy carved a simple jack-o-lantern. We had lots of fun with pumpkins tonight!

Lots of Leaves

Our grass was covered with leaves, so Nolan and Mommy raked leaves and played outside all day today. Nolan was armed and ready with his tools.

He could not believe how many leaves have fallen down in the last few days.

Nolan had a ball falling down in the leaves!

He loved running through Mommy's big piles of leaves.

It was great to be outside all day.

Leaves are so much fun!

Nolan took a break from the leaves and used his loader truck to pick up some rocks.

Then, he picked up leaves with his loader truck.

Nolan rolled around in the leaves.

After lunch and right before Nolan's nap, some public works trucks were in front of our house to investigate a lighting project in our yard. Nolan loved seeing the big trucks.

Nolan took a three hour nap and was ready to help Mommy bring the leaf bags to the yard until garbage day.

Nolan was the best leaf helper! Mommy and Nolan had a great day together outside!

Little Climber

Nolan is in Halloween mode and is in heaven with the big candy addition in our home for trick-or-treaters. He walks to the candy hiding place and insists on getting a treat. Nolan LOVES chocolate! He recently discovered Kit Kat candy bars and thinks they are really great. Mommy gave Nolan one Kit Kat and told him to meet her at the kitchen table to sit and eat his treat. Mommy walked into the kitchen, and Nolan was sitting up on a chair at the table like a big boy waiting to open his treat. He is such a good listener and follows commands very well. Nolan is not a big climber but is definitely starting to explore and test Mommy with his climbing abilities. This was the first time he climbed up onto a kitchen chair...for an extremely motivating Kit Kat candy treat!

Boo At The Zoo

MoMo, Mommy and Nolan went to Boo At The Zoo at Brookfield Zoo today! Nolan took a wagon ride from the garage to Mommy's car before leaving for the zoo.

He eventually indicated that we should stop taking fall pictures and get going in the car!

Nolan was so excited to run around at the zoo.

He rode on an elephant on the carousel.

He loved it!

He rode in the wagon and had a few snacks.

The big dinosaurs are at the zoo...they were really cool!

Nolan loved checking everything out.

We ran into Johnny, Aunt Kathey, Patty and John at the zoo...we checked out the bears together.

Nolan was in awe of the big dinosaurs.

He helped MoMo push the wagon.

Nolan was the cutest little skunk at the zoo!

The leaves were beautiful.

Nolan chased a goose forever...

and then he fell down from exhaustion.

We had a great time, and Nolan started his great nap in the car on the way home.

He wore his cute Halloween socks.

Nolan took a long nap and was energized to play and have dinner at Pops and MoMo's house. Dinner always ends with Pops and Nolan sharing dark chocolate raisins from the candy shop.

The did "cheers" with their cups.

Pops and Nolan are so sweet and best buddies!

They enjoyed a drink of milk to wash down their treats.

Nolan loves his special treats with Pops!

We had the best day, and the weather was beautiful!
