Big Day!
Nolan took his first steps today! He took three steps two different times! Mommy was so excited! Nolan was, too! There aren't any pictures capturing the moment, but these are from this morning.
Nolan loves his Halloween books...he is reading Five Little Pumpkins.
He had fun carrying the empty wrapping paper roll while pushing the bar stool all around the kitchen, living room and dining room.
He loved pushing the kitchen chairs around, too. Nolan pushes anything and everything around and around and around all day long! Life is good!

A Medical Update
Nolan had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Hahn (the neuro-surgeon who took care of Nolan during his head injury). Dr. Hahn thinks his skull fracture has healed nicely and now just wants to monitor the arachnoid cyst (incidental finding) that appeared on the left side of Nolan's brain on the CAT scans and MRI. Nolan will have to go back to Dr. Hahn in six months and then have another MRI to compare the size, matter, etc. of the arachnoid cyst from the two images. Nolan is developing nicely and seems to be doing just fine. We just wanted to share a quick update for all of those who ask about Nolan. Thanks for your thoughts and good wishes!
A Panda On The Loose...
Nolan wore his costume to gym class today. He was still able to move around and do all of his favorite things!
Nolan loves this push toy that makes music when it moves.

A Day At The Farm
We went to The Palos Children's Farm today to check out the animals and take a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch. It was a very cool, windy day!
Nolan saw bunnies,
ducks,
ponies,
chickens and roosters,
baby pigs,
goats,
cows,
sheep and
donkeys.
Nolan and Daddy posed by the big red barn.
Mommy and Nolan took a quick picture on the way to the tractor.
We took a long ride into the pumpkin patch.
Nolan climbed up on the pumpkins.
They were so big!
Nolan stood next to the pumpkins.

We walked really far into the patch to find the perfect pumpkins.
