Skinny Nolan...

Nolan caught Mommy's flu bug and was so sick yesterday. He did not want his breakfast and woke up from his morning nap vomiting. Poor, poor Nolan! It lasted all day, and he slept on Mommy in between three baths and being completely lethargic. Nolan was so sad. He was so pale and skinny. He took some Pedialyte in the evening and kept that down. He actually loved it! He slept all night and was still lethargic this morning. He finally got some life back this afternoon and tonight and even had a little dinner. Nolan's sleepers seem so big on him, and he seems so skinny now. We hope he is back to his normal self soon!

Ash Wednesday

Big Boy!

Mommy was sick with a 24-hour flu bug yesterday. Nolan was a good sport all morning but was very excited when MoMo came and rescued him for the afternoon. MoMo walked Nolan back home when Daddy was home from work, and this is what we saw out our window. Nolan is such a big boy...he walked part of the way home from Pops and MoMo's house! Nolan was excited to see Mommy and Daddy in the front window!

After having an afternoon of fun with MoMo, Nolan came home and was upset that Mommy's desk was closed.
He tries to reach everything now.
Hmmm...how can he get it?
He can stand on his tiptoes and cry.
Or just give up the fight and go for the drawers.
Nolan stands on his tiptoes to reach things on the counters. He can open the dishwasher and oven doors. He is totally into everything! He is extremely cautious, though. MoMo took Nolan for a walk in front of her house, and he got down and crawled over every crack in the sidewalk. She said it was hilarious and wished she had a camera! Nolan keeps us on our toes!

The End Of The Season

Nolan went to his last University of Chicago game of the season on Sunday. The team has one more game next weekend in St. Louis, but Sunday was the last home game. Nolan went and sat on the team chairs with his friend, Ellie. They had so much fun playing together at the games. Nolan loved looking up at the lights and balloons.
He played peek-a-boo at the top of the bleachers.
Nolan became much more courageous...he walked near the floor and crawled on the bleachers.
He loves the NCAA signs hanging around the gym.
Pops and MoMo gave Nolan his first drink in a fountain. It was very wet!
Nolan played near the big hoop.
He had Spaghettios for dinner and loved every bite!

Our Little Duster

Nolan loves to clean as much as Mommy! He saw the blue duster on Saturday, and he took off! He dusted the chairs. He played in the lazy susan while holding the duster.
He ran around the kitchen with the duster and a box of muffin mix.
This is what our cake, brownie and muffin mix boxes look like. Nolan nibbles holes in the tops of every box.
Nolan dusted the window trim.
He also dusted the floor.
Nolan is such a great helper!

Just Like Daddy

Daddy had his hat out for his winter inspection, so Nolan decided to try it on. Nolan wanted to be just like Daddy!

Our Busy Little Guy

Nolan had a long afternoon at his doctor and hair trim appointments. He was so excited to be home and get back to his normal routine. He went straight for the lazy susan cabinet. Then, onto the dishwasher...Daddy had just started the dishwasher, and today was the first time Nolan ever pressed the buttons to stop the cycle. Hmmm...
He stood in the living room and admired his books, blocks and other favorites.
He read his small Frosty The Snowman book at the table.
He squatted and read his robot book on the floor.
He thought for a minute about what to do next...
Then, he played with Mommy's knee. He is obsessed with legs and knees and must pull the pant legs up of those he feels comfortable around to check out their legs and knees. He loves the feel of skin. That is the first thing he wants when he sees MoMo!
He started his singing duck and gave big hugs!
He ate some dinner and ran his sticky fingers through his hair. Mommy had to make a funny hairdo!
Nolan thought it was hilarious!
He is our happy little guy!
Nolan said enough with the pants and ran around in his shirt and new shoes...he really loves them!
He went back to the dishwasher to press some more buttons.
He ran across the kitchen...what great form!
Back to the dishwasher...this time to open the door. Hmmm...we may have to run the dishwasher when Nolan is sleeping! He can reach too many things now!
Nolan went upstairs to see what Daddy was doing.
Then, he came back downstairs to read a few more books before going to bed.
He loves the flap books.
Nolan loves his family book, too!
Nolan is a busy guy! He was absolutely exhausted when he fell asleep after a long day! He puts in lots of miles and is non-stop fun!
