SICP Game

Nolan went to his first high school basketball game of the year tonight. He cheered on St. Ignatius College Prep as they defeated St. Rita. Nolan was so excited to wear his Wolfpack t-shirt that Pops gave him for Christmas. Nolan was a good luck charm tonight!

Nolan took a quick picture with Pops before getting his pajamas on...he was ready to go home to bed!

Mr. Independent

Nolan took a cup out of his kitchen drawer and put it up to the refrigerator to try and get his own water. He did it a few times and was making noises to get some water. We drink lots of water in our house! Then, Nolan went and found his purple sippy cup and the matching lid and put the lid on the cup. Mommy was so proud of Nolan...he is getting so big!

Our Little Artist

Nolan got some new art materials for Christmas. He was really excited to use them to make a masterpiece!

He licked the markers and took a bite of two crayon tips! It was so much fun!

Peek!

Nolan likes to try and get behind our big chair in the living room... and play peek-a-boo!

Nolan's Sore Eye

Nolan had a little accident on Wednesday. He was carrying his big train around and tripped over the base of his ring stacker. He fell onto his train, and the train cut his left eyelid. There is a little cut and a big bruise on Nolan's eyelid. He posed for a few photos.

Poor Nolan!

Our Little Driver

Nolan has had this truck since his birthday, but he never really wanted to ride on it. He loves to push it around and push the buttons to make noises...until today! He tried to get on the truck, so Mommy helped him. Nolan LOVED it! He stayed on the truck for a long time and moved around all by himself. Nolan was so excited!

He liked checking out the wheels.
He figured out how to get off and on, too.
Nolan also tried sitting backwards and thought that was really fun!

Our Weekend in St. Louis

We went to St. Louis this past weekend to celebrate Jack's second birthday! We had lots of fun!
Nolan liked looking out the window during our airplane ride. Henry and Nolan had fun playing with GG.
Nolan and Jack had fun chasing MoMo!
Jack was so excited to open his presents!
Nolan was a little sleepy during the gifts and played with MoMo's hair.
Henry helped Jack open his presents.
Henry enjoyed the party.
Nolan eventually fell asleep on MoMo and then took a long afternoon nap.
Jack and Pops played outside on the new swing set.
Nolan and Uncle Kevin played, too.
Nolan decided that he wanted to come back inside.
He was officially frozen!
Nolan helped himself to some of Henry's dinner. Good thing Henry is so laid-back!
Henry and Nolan enjoyed some breakfast on Sunday with Pops.
Nolan enjoyed his first cab ride home from the airport on Sunday.
He helped Mommy empty our suitcase and start the laundry when we got home.
Happy Birthday, Jack! We had a great time celebrating with you!

Exciting History!

Nolan wore a red, white and blue outfit (and his football bib while eating) to show his American pride and celebrate Barack Obama's inauguration today. This is such an exciting and historic time for our country, and we are very proud to be Americans! Nolan clapped for Obama!
Yeah!

Little Scholar

We went to a luncheon at Champps in Lombard today for Aunt Mar. Aunt Mar has been at IBM for 25 years and celebrated this afternoon with family, friends and co-workers. Unfortunately, we did not get any pictures at the luncheon. Nolan had fun eating, walking around and showing everyone his tricks. Congratulations, Aunt Mar!

After the luncheon, we stopped at Aunt Maura's school to see her classroom. She teaches at Montini Catholic which is right down the street from the restaurant. Nolan enjoyed his visit. He drew a self-portrait and wrote his name on the chalkboard. Actually, MoMo helped him! Nolan read the daily prayer book and sat on a podium.
Nolan glanced at a novel with Aunt Maura.
He checked out the detention slips and the exciting things in Aunt Maura's drawer.
Nolan tasted a book...it was yummy! He definitely left his mark in the classroom!
He sat in a big kid chair. Nolan prefers his bean bag chair and his high chair.
Nolan played peek-a-boo with MoMo.
He wore Aunt Maura's lanyard with important keys. He is such a good teacher!
Nolan walked up and down the aisles to inspect the classroom.
He checked out the lockers, too.
The lockers were so much fun!
Nolan looked so little in the big hallway.
He had lots of fun walking in the empty hallway.
Nolan was excited to be in high school today but decided that he will enjoy lots of time at home with Mommy before he goes to school. Mommy is fine with that thought, too!
