Eleven Months Old

Nolan is eleven months old today! Where has the time gone? Sometimes, it seems like Nolan just arrived and other times it seems like he has been here forever. We can't remember life without him. Nolan is quickly becoming very independent. He is standing in his crib every time Mommy and Daddy go in his bedroom after naps and night sleeping. He is always so happy to see Mommy and Daddy...his smile is priceless! Nolan loves to play peek-a-boo! Mommy likes to play peek with Nolan before getting him out of his crib. He loves it!
Nolan loves reading books...Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? is still one of his favorites.
Nolan is caught in the action...when he does not want a certain food, he likes to drop it over the side of his high chair tray. He thinks it is very funny, too. Mommy is trying to teach Nolan to keep his food on his tray...his manners need some brushing up for sure!
Nolan also loves electrical outlets...busted!
He stands near the wall and holds on with one hand, occasionally letting go for a second.
Nolan loves to carry a spatula around.
He loves his Old MacDonald book, too!
Nolan LOVES to knock over a tower of nesting blocks...he thinks it is hilarious and stops at nothing to knock the blocks over!
Nolan gets his baskets of toys off of the living room tables and chooses things to play with. It is so fun to watch his wheels turning...and they are always turning!
Nolan pulls up on everything. He loves to scoot from the chair to the front window to see the trees, cars, kids, etc. going by.

It is hard to believe that Nolan will be one in just one more month! Time flies by when you are having fun!
P.S. Nolan weighs 26.4 pounds. Mommy didn't get a chance to measure his height, but he is definitely getting taller and slimming down!

Ready for Halloween?!

We are! Our house is decorated, and Nolan loves to carry his pumpkin around. He smiles and gets really excited when he sees pumpkins and scarecrows. Fall is so much fun, and we are ready for a great month in our house!
Nolan had his first day of gym class today. He really liked it and did not want to leave. Mommy forgot to take a picture during class, but this picture was taken when we got home. It takes about five minutes to get to the gym, and Nolan managed to fall asleep in those five minutes. He was so worn out from singing, exercising and playing with his new friends. Stay tuned for some gym class photos next week!

Cool Morning Walk

Mommy and Nolan take an early morning walk most days of the week. It was pretty chilly this morning, so Nolan had to bundle up in his fleece coat and hat. He sure does love going for walks as he watches the trees blowing and the cars going down the streets. It is a great way to start the morning!

Sox Win!

We are so excited that the Sox won last night! Daddy was working at the Sox game, so Nolan and Mommy went to Pops and MoMo's house to watch the game. Aunt Maura was grading some papers and entering scores into the computer. Nolan was very interested in Aunt Maura's teaching work.
Nolan was such a big helper!
He put on his Sox hat to watch the big game.

Pops and Nolan were so excited when the Sox won!
Nolan turned his hat around to watch some post-game news before going home to bed.
We are so happy that the Sox beat the Twins and are now in the playoffs. Go, Go, White Sox!
