Nolan's New Kicks

Nolan has been wearing Robeez-like leather shoes since he has been moving around. With the recent warm weather, we decided it was time to get some more durable shoes so that Nolan can play outside with some protection on his feet. MoMo and Mommy took Nolan to Pierzynski Shoes to get his first pair (Mommy got her first pair of shoes there, too)! Nolan was in shock and cried loudly while he was getting measured and trying the shoes on. Then, he took MoMo's hand and walked around just fine. He walked over to his balloon.
The shoe lady tied it on Nolan's wrist.

We stopped to visit GG and Aunt Joann, and they loved Nolan's new shoes.

Carole Peterson Concert

Nolan went to the Carole Peterson show at Quin Early Learning Center (where Mommy taught) tonight. He met his friends Luke and Will there. Nolan had fun seeing lots and lots of children and adults. Some of Mommy's old students were there with their parents, and they could not believe how big Nolan is! We had a great time singing and dancing!

Is It Spring??

It definitely feels like it! Today was a beautiful day! Nolan had a nasty cold for over two weeks, and we had major cabin fever. It was great to be outside so much today! Mommy took Nolan for a walk in his wagon after we got home from library class. He LOVES his wagon so much! We stopped at the park for a ride on the swing.
Nolan enjoyed his swing at home after our walk...he was swinging for about twenty minutes and dozed off before heading back inside. He fills out his swing nicely!
Nolan showed Daddy how he goes down the slide after another walk at night.

Nolan had so much fun outside. He helped Daddy barbecue our dinner on the grill.

We love the warm weather!

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend! Nolan went to his first Br. Rice basketball game of the season on Friday night and then to Mommy's friends' house for some drinks and laughs. We went to Uncle Tim and Aunt Jean's new home on Saturday night for a party. Nolan had lots of fun playing with his cousins. He really loved the big box! Nolan had fun crawling in and out with his cousins.
He loved eating his pizza with Uncle Tim, Christie and Alexis.

The O'Sheas have lots of great costumes, wigs, etc. Nolan tried on a wig...

It was a really different style!

Nolan was exhausted and fell asleep as we were pulling out of the subdivision.

We went to the University of Chicago vs. NYU game on Sunday. Nolan finally met the bird mascot (the picture is really dark).

He loved drinking from the water and gatorade bottles.

Nolan enjoyed watching the game and cheering the Maroons to victory!

15 Months Old

Nolan is 15 months old today! It is so hard to believe! Nolan is growing and developing while learning new things everyday! He is tons of fun and brightens our lives with his genuine smile and great personality. Mommy took pictures of some of Nolan's favorite activities today!

Nolan gets so excited to take a bath...sometimes it seems like he is going to jump in with his clothes on!

He likes to play with the spare toilet paper rolls and stainless steel holder (as well as the curling iron and toothpaste, too).
Nolan enjoys stacking the toilet paper rolls in the corner of the bathroom.
He LOVES taking baths! He has so much fun with his toys and letters/numbers!

He loves taking everything out of his froggy toy net.

Nolan likes to put everything back in, too.

Nolan LOVES his books...he reads many times throughout the day. We have books in every room!

He is a great clapper...for any and all or even no reason!

He also LOVES opening and closing the doors.

Nolan enjoys playing in his closet and moving the sliding doors back and forth. He likes taking the night diapers out of the packages, too.

He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his puppy!

Nolan enjoys taking naps and sleeping at night. He is a great sleeper (thank goodness)!

He loves his nesting blocks. He even stacks some by himself before knocking them over!

Nolan loves his nursery rhyme cube and carries it around the house while listening and dancing to his favorite tunes. He has great moves!

Nolan is also discovering...climbing! Oh, no! He climbed for the first time last Friday, and Mommy could not believe her eyes!

He is also putting one leg up to get in the tub. Oh, my!

Nolan is only getting one leg/foot up which is just fine for now!

Nolan is very into his toys and really plays with them meaningfully rather than constantly moving from one toy to another. He loves his riding truck and can get on and off by himself as well as move the truck back and forth independently. It is so exciting! Nolan has some fun tricks that he loves to show people when they come over and/or he has an audience. Nolan is imitating a lot and moving up and down the stairs without any gates. He is very cautious and does not go on the stairs unless a grown up is around (hopefully this will continue!). Nolan is pure joy and tons of fun! We have a ball everyday with lots of new discoveries and learning experiences. Nolan goes to Baby Business at the library and Gym Stars at the park district. He is certainly a busy guy these days and is very much on the move!

The Vacuum

Nolan loves helping with the vacuum...especially the attachment hose. It is great fun!
