Nolan's 18 Month Stats

Nolan had his 18 month doctor appointment today. He is 33 1/2 inches tall (75th percentile) and 31 pounds, 13 ounces (95th-97th percentile). His head is 50.4 centimeters (95th-97th percentile). So, Nolan is keeping up with his typical growth pattern. Dr. Li said Nolan is very healthy! He had a great visit and had fun getting Puppy checked out, too! Nolan is having an MRI on Friday, May 15th. This is a follow-up after his head injury which found an arachnoid cyst on the left side of his brain. Nolan sees his neurosurgeon every six months and will have to have an MRI once each year to follow the cyst and track any growth and development. He will have to be sedated which will not be pleasant. Nolan is tough and developing well, so we know he will be okay! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Lunch Time!

Nolan fed himself macaroni and cheese for lunch today. Then, he put his cup of milk in the dish. This is his new trick. He had noodles all over!
He was so proud of himself!
He used his spoon for a few bites of applesauce and then decided to drink it out of the bowl.
Nolan had lots of applesauce on his bib and tray which was so much fun to play with.
Then it was time for another drink.
Nolan was sad when Mommy took the empty bowl away.
He likes pretzel rods. He has a few with most of his meals. Pretzels are a great appetizer!
Nolan had an orange freeze pop for dessert.
He fell asleep and finished his treat with his eyes closed. Then, he took a three hour nap!

Nolan's First Trip To Baskin Robbins

Nolan took a bike ride with Pops, MoMo and Aunt Maura to Baskin Robbins tonight. It was such a nice treat and a perfect ending to a beautiful day outside. Nolan shared a chocolate shake with Pops! He needed some water to go along with his ice cream.
Nolan loves a nice straw.
Yum, yum!

18 Months Old

Nolan is 18 months old today! Mommy and Daddy cannot believe it! Time is flying by...much too quickly! Nolan is still a baby, but sometimes he looks and acts like a big boy. He understands everything and is great with following directions. He loves to help with everything and be involved with everything. He loves to be outside, and he loves his inside toys. He is a happy guy! He is very social and loves to be around other people. He is sweet and affectionate...he loves to give hugs and kisses. He loves to read books, and he points at everything. Nolan has a great personality and a great sense of humor. He is pure joy and sunshine and makes our family life complete!
Uncle Mike was in town for a dinner with Pops, so he took Nolan for a quick bike ride. Nolan enjoys the bike rides if Mommy is not in sight (he does not want to be taken away from Mommy)! Nolan watched some sports with Pops.
They were both excited about a play.
Best buddies!

Busy Baby!

Nolan is quite the busy baby these days. He is very into his toys. He plays with one toy for a good amount of time but sometimes takes almost every toy out without putting anything back first! He is very resourceful and uses his stool wisely.
It comes in handy to practice climbing!
Nolan realized that his bins come out of the shelving units...
and he took most of them out as he enjoyed his new discovery!

The Open Pantry...

Nolan loves to play in the pantry. It does not happen too often since he has made some messes with powdered sugar, baking soda and corn starch in the past. Mommy was baking, and Nolan made a bee-line for the open pantry! He has radar when a cabinet lock is not on, and he knows just where to go!

The Sink Baths Begin...

Nolan took a few baths in the sink over the weekend and had a great time splashing in the water! He ran upstairs to his room and read some books.
He kept running away when it was time to get a diaper and jammies on.
Daddy caught Nolan!
Nolan took his basket of blocks and dumped them on the floor.
Then, he put the basket on his head!
Nolan is so much fun!
