It's Raining, It's Pouring...

And Nolan LOVES it! Nolan loves rain! He loves to sit on the park bench on a rainy day and watch the rain fall from the sky as the trees blow in the breeze. He thinks it is the greatest! It has been raining at our house all weekend, and Nolan has been in heaven! He took one walk in the rain on Friday and played in the puddles today. We had some household issues with the rain, so Uncle Mike, Pops and our neighbor came to save the day. Nolan enjoyed helping and playing in the rain!
Uncle Mike, Nolan and Pops were soaked!
Nolan had fun crawling in the puddles!

He had a bath and a nap and watched the rain from our side door.

Rain, rain, please go away! Come again another day!

Teething

Nolan's bottom two teeth came in Memorial Day weekend, and he has been patiently waiting for some more to come in ever since then. His gums have been swollen for the longest time. Nolan says enough is enough with the teething!

He was happy to drink ice water out of a straw and bite on it for awhile, too!

Bedroom Fun

Nolan is becoming very confident! He pulls up on just about anything, including Mommy's pants.
He pulls up on the step stool and stands in the closet.

He reaches for the doors while standing (he opens the closet doors, too).

He picks up the step stool and moves it around the room.
He walks between Mommy and Daddy's bed and the dresser.
Nolan is really on the move and wants to go, go, go!

Our New Life

This is our new life!
Nolan is capable of going up the stairs but has no idea what to do if he decides to stop in the middle. He has no fear! So, we picked up a few more gates and now have gates at the top and bottom of both sets of stairs. Mommy feels like a track hurdler as there are three gates to climb over while going from the kitchen to the family room. It is great exercise since the gates are climbed about fifty times each day, especially while holding a 26 pound baby in your arms and sometimes a laundry basket, too!

The "Walker" Stool

Nolan loves to pull himself up on the kitchen bar stools and then push them around the kitchen. Who needs push toys when you have bar stools?

Mommy locked all of the cabinets except for a few corner cabinets...and Nolan figured that out! So, there is now ribbon tied to the cabinets that were not locked before. Nolan thinks it is a bummer, but Mommy thinks it is very safe!

Climbing Up The Gate

Nolan decided to climb up the gate this week. He is like a little monkey!

Nolan Discovered This...

Yuck! While Mommy was brushing her teeth, Nolan crawled over and pulled himself up on the toilet...yuck! The lid is down from now on, and the bathroom doors are closed at all times, too. Nolan thought it was a great find!
