A Weekend In St. Louis

Nolan and Mommy flew to St. Louis with Pops, MoMo and Aunt Maura this weekend to visit Uncle Kevin, Aunt Kelly, Jack and Henry. Nolan sat with Pops on the airplane and read books. They played with trucks, too.
Nolan was the best helper in the airport!
He helped pull the heavy luggage.

We played and played and then watched some of the Cars movie before taking a nap.

It was Nolan's first time watching Cars, and he liked the action!
Pops and MoMo took a quick picture with their three boys.
Nolan loved Jack and Henry's firetruck.
He loved all of their trucks!
The boys played with cars, trucks and trains all weekend.

Aunt Maura gave rides on her leg...Henry was flying!
MoMo gave rides, too. Nolan hopped off to play with trucks.
Nolan LOVED this freight truck carrier.
The boys had a lovely dinner together.
Then, it was back to playing.
We had some fun games of hide and seek.
Then, it was time for an ice cream dessert.
Henry, Nolan and Jack hopped in the tub together for a fun bath.

Pops and Uncle Kevin gave everyone a mohawk!

The boys had some more fun with cars after their bath.

Nolan and Henry played peek-a-boo!
Nolan loved Jack's tricycle!
Henry and Nolan were kissing cousins.
Pops and MoMo played Ring Around The Rosie...
and they all fell down!
Nolan had fun with Jack and Henry's garbage truck.

Pops made a bridge with his body, and Nolan tackled him down.
Everyone had a good sleep and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning.
There was a party in Jack's big boy bed.
Pops enjoyed a little television time with his boys before they took their naps.
Thanks Uncle Kevin, Aunt Kelly, Jack and Henry for a great weekend away! We had lots of fun! Thanks for letting Nolan play with your fun toys!

No More Paci!

Nolan is receiving therapy for his speech, expressive language and oral motor development delays. The speech therapist told Mommy that the pacifier is not helping the situation. The paci is working against what we are trying to accomplish with therapy and oral motor exercises. So, we decided that Nolan would not have a paci any more as of his therapy session this week. Mommy was really sad and nervous because we did not really know Nolan's last time having his paci would really be the last time. We just decided to get rid of the paci cold turkey. Nolan is doing really, really well! He is napping really well and sleeping at night as usual. Nolan really loved his paci and mostly had it during nap, night and times of despair. The paci was great for calming and comforting Nolan. But, it is officially behind him, and he is such a big boy! Mommy showed Nolan that the pacifiers are all gone, and he has been a trooper! Here are some pictures from a stalled nap on Thursday while Nolan was contemplating a paci...

He was all smiles as he read books to his guys...he insisted on having every stuffed animal he owns in his bed. He definitely gets credit for dawdling and procrastinating at sleep time!

Shower Planner?

Mommy and Nolan went to a shower planning meeting on Friday night for Aunt Maura's upcoming bridal shower. Nolan had fun playing outside with Uncle Tim, Scott, Johnny and Alexis. They used their flashlights to look at nature in the night...so exciting!
Nolan had fun with Uncle Tim.
Then, the kids came inside to play with lots of toys.
Johnny and Nolan were doing somersaults...

Then, they played a game of pillows.
They were running, jumping and diving into the pillows!

Nolan helped with the important details of the shower! He was quite an integral participant at the meeting!
