Nolan is receiving therapy for his speech, expressive language and oral motor development delays. The speech therapist told Mommy that the pacifier is not helping the situation. The paci is working against what we are trying to accomplish with therapy and oral motor exercises. So, we decided that Nolan would not have a paci any more as of his therapy session this week. Mommy was really sad and nervous because we did not really know Nolan's last time having his paci would really be the last time. We just decided to get rid of the paci cold turkey. Nolan is doing really, really well! He is napping really well and sleeping at night as usual. Nolan really loved his paci and mostly had it during nap, night and times of despair. The paci was great for calming and comforting Nolan. But, it is officially behind him, and he is such a big boy! Mommy showed Nolan that the pacifiers are all gone, and he has been a trooper! Here are some pictures from a stalled nap on Thursday while Nolan was contemplating a paci...
