Crawling and Pulling Up

Nolan is crawling around so well. He has been pulling up on Mommy and Daddy for awhile, but now he is pulling up on objects, too. He is doing something new and exciting everyday!

Block Party

Nolan went to his first Block Party on our block on Saturday. It was so much fun! We had fun games, an inflatable jumper, a band, a DJ and lots of other great activities. Nolan napped for a long time in the afternoon and went to sleep for the night at 7:15 even though the jumper, band and DJ were all at our house. He enjoyed the activities while he was awake. It was a beautiful day to be outside with neighbors and friends!

Daddy brought Nolan outside when he woke up...he was checking out the trees and everything that was going on in the street.

Nolan walked over to see The Bolts. They are a neighborhood band of four fifth graders and one sixth grader. They are so good! They played in the 4th of July Parade and at our parish carnival. They are also playing at the fall festival in Oak Lawn.
Nolan had fun dancing with the band!

Uncle Xavier, Aunt Sarah, Liam and Henry stopped by for a little bit.
There was so much for Liam to see and do!
Daddy and Nolan were watching some activities down the block.
Daddy, Nolan, Henry and Uncle Xavier...Nolan loves the trees!
The dads and cousins had lots of fun!
Nolan and Henry were dancing!
Nolan sat in the police SUV. The bike safety police visited and gave out safety materials to all of the children. Nolan was napping during the fire truck visit. He can catch them next year!
We enjoyed dinner outside. It was lots of fun!

On The Move

Nolan is on the move! He is crawling everywhere and is so proud of himself!
The fridge is pretty cool...

Nolan can go from sitting to crawling and crawling to sitting.

He is one smart cookie! The Tillemans gave Nolan this onesie since Daddy went to EIU!
He is into everything!
Nolan crawled around the kitchen floor holding Mommy's shoe.
The chairs are fun!
So is the high chair!
It is so much fun watching Nolan move everywhere...he is so happy with his new views!

Nolan's Nine Month Stats

Nolan went to the doctor yesterday for his nine month visit. He was such a good baby! He has very impressive stats... He is 25 pounds (95th percentile), 28 inches (50th percentile) and has a head circumference of 47.1 centimeters (90-95th percentile). Dr. Li was on maternity leave for Nolan's six month appointment, so she was pleasantly surprised to see a growing, healthy, happy Nolan! She said he is a champ! Nolan was so brave while he had two shots in his thigh. We picked up MoMo at her office to go to the doctor. We had a great visit!
MoMo and Nolan were dancing in the mirror.
Nolan was so happy when he discovered himself!
He also enjoyed playing with the paper on the exam table.
Going to see the doctor is so much fun!
Nolan visited Daddy at work and had lunch with him!
Then, MoMo and Mommy took Nolan to the shoe store to get fitted for some shoes. Nolan wants to walk everywhere, so we are going to try and find some shoes to wear while walking outside and at the park. Nolan measured as a size 4 double extra wide. Mommy is going to be on the lookout for some new kicks for Nolan!
We had a busy, fun day!

A Visit With Uncle Ron

We visited Uncle Ron tonight. He and Aunt Mar were in Ireland, and Uncle Ron fell shortly after they landed in Dublin. They were only there for 36 hours before turning around to come back to Chicago. Uncle Ron had to have knee surgery and is in a full leg cast. He is so uncomfortable, but Nolan made him feel much better. Nolan loves Uncle Ron and liked touching his hard cast!

GG brought Nolan a baseball hat from the Cliffs of Moher...it is so cute!

We hope Uncle Ron is more comfortable soon on his long road to recovery!

Becoming Independent

Nolan is becoming very independent...he just wants to go, go, go and do his own thing!

Nolan is making progress toward crawling. He is very motivated by his stacking blocks. He loves knocking them over!
He loves to spin the football on his sports game.
He took steps from his learning table to the laundry basket...
and then he was stuck!

Mommy re-directed him and got him back to the table to stand more confidently.

Nolan read The Guiness Book of World Records.
He took many magazines, newspapers and some of his books off of the coffee table.
He moved all over the living room and had so much fun!
