A Day Up North

We went to Lincoln Park this morning after church for a fundraiser that Daddy's friend runs. We walked part of the path and took a little detour to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Nolan walked up a long path to the carousel.
He enjoyed his first carousel ride!
We picked a panda bear since that was Nolan's Halloween costume.
After the zoo, we went back to Oz Park where the fundraiser was taking place. Nolan played with a big, black dog named Cash.
Daddy played boxing gloves with Nolan.
Daddy and Nolan tried on their new Dwyerthon t-shirts.
It was a great day outside, and Lincoln Park was full of fun activities!

He loved the firetruck, too.
Nolan played with his big, three year-old cousins, Kylie, Alexis and Johnny.
He went back for more fun in the house...he opened and closed the door lots and lots of times during the party!
Nolan had his diaper changed next to his cousin Dave. Dave is two months old and A LOT smaller than Nolan!
Nolan had fun with his cousin Ellen!

Nolan's MRI

Nolan had his MRI this morning. He had to fast for twelve hours, and we had to be at the hospital at 7:50 a.m. Nolan slept in after his long day outside yesterday and was very pleasant in the morning despite the fact that he could not eat or drink anything for breakfast. We waited in a small room while the anaesthesiologists were prepping everything for Nolan. He was such a good boy!
The MRI of his brain took one hour. Mommy and Daddy were not with Nolan while he was being sedated but were able to be in the recovery area when Nolan woke up about 25 minutes after the MRI was completed. Nolan did really well and was such a trooper! He had some apple juice and graham crackers and was released from the hospital. He was waving to the nurses and was sweet as can be! We will get the results in three to five business days and will follow up with Nolan's neurosurgeon on May 27th.

Nolan was happy to have some water and a fiber bar when he came home from the hospital.
Mommy made Nolan a special peanut butter chocolate milk shake, and he loved it!
Nolan had some pretzels with Daddy...he enjoyed some of his favorite treats!
GG and Aunt Mar went to Pops and MoMo's house tonight to see Jack and Henry. We enjoyed a pizza dinner and lots of playtime.
The boys enjoyed a few rounds of Ring Around the Rosie.

Pops, GG and MoMo took a quick picture with their grandsons.
GG enjoyed a picture with her great-grandsons!
Nolan snuggled with MoMo...they are best buddies!
Nolan had fun playing cars and trucks with Henry.
He also showed everyone how he plays "pillows" at Pops and MoMo's house.
Henry, Jack and Nolan sat still long enough for a picture in their matching jammies.
The grandparents and grandsons enjoyed snuggle time before bed.
Nolan and Henry played pillows together.
Nolan went for a ride with Pops...he loves Pops' knees!
Pops is so much fun!
Nolan went back for more.
Pops has such a nice tummy!
Nolan played hide and seek with Jack.
The boys had fun with Aunt Mar, MoMo and Pops.
Pops read some bedtime stories.

Then it was time for bed! Everyone slept well after a very long day!

Hanging With Cousins

Jack and Henry came to Chicago to stay with Pops and MoMo while Uncle Kevin and Aunt Kelly went to Mexico for a vacation. Nolan was excited to hang out with his cousins! They enjoyed a dinner together when they arrived from St. Louis on Wednesday. Pops, MoMo and Mommy took the three boys to Snackville Junction for lunch on Thursday.

It was so much fun to see the train carrying the lunches around the restaurant! Jack, Henry and Nolan loved it!
Pops and MoMo had fun with their three grandsons!
After nap time, everyone came to our house to play outside. Nolan was happy to share his toys with his cousins.
Mommy made a delicious dinner...spaghettios, hot dogs and strawberries.
Nolan really enjoyed the spaghettios!
Eating outside is so much fun!
Nolan was happy to have friends at his picnic table.
MoMo caught Nolan before he fell backwards, and she ended up wearing Nolan's spaghettios...he was so concerned about MoMo being messy!

Nolan liked sharing his see saw, and Mommy managed to get one picture with all three boys looking.
We had a super fun Thursday!
