Nolan's MRI Follow-Up Appointment
Mommy forgot to post the results of Nolan's follow-up appointment with his neurosurgeon. Dr. Hahn said that Nolan's cyst is unchanged since last year and that Nolan is better than perfect! That was great news! He was very positive and will follow Nolan for the next few years. Dr. Hahn did say that he would point Nolan in the direction of Tiger Woods rather than Eli Manning when the time comes since Nolan would have a greater chance of head trauma with his prior history of a skull fracture and arachnoid cyst. Nolan's physique seems to resemble a football player, but he would be a great golfer. He has plenty of time to figure out what he wants to do, and we can think about his needs/concerns when the time comes...in many more years, thank goodness!
First Night at the Pool
Chicago weather has been really cool and rainy lately. Nolan dipped in the hot tub with Pops and Aunt Maura on Monday, but he has not been swimming yet this season. Nolan visited Pops and MoMo's pool tonight and had a great time. He helped MoMo water her flowers. He really loves his watering can!

He went in the baby pool since none of the grown ups wanted to go in the big pool.
Aunt Maura put his red chair in the pool.

Cars, Trucks and Trains
Garbage Day
Nolan loves Thursday mornings because the garbage trucks come down our street one by one to collect the trash, recycling, and yard clippings. Nolan hears the truck noises from far away and runs to the front windows to wait for the trucks. He gets so excited and would go right through the front window if he could. The truck drivers come close to the window, wave to Nolan and honk their horns for him. Nolan was getting his diaper changed this morning when he heard the truck noises. Mommy barely fastened the diaper before eager Nolan quickly went downstairs to get ready for the garbage trucks. We waited outside, and Nolan was in heaven!
He watched and waited...
The truck came closer...
And then it was at our house!
Nolan was so excited!
The truck went to our neighbors' houses...
Nolan stood still and watched the truck go down our block.
He watched that truck until it turned the corner.
Then, we took our garbage can back toward the garage.
Nolan wanted to stay outside for a few minutes. It's Raining, It's Pouring...
